Basic Income --- Bailout for the People
What is Universal Basic Income?
We can’t go on pretending that poverty is solved by getting a job
Getting a job is not necessarily a route out of poverty.
Rising costs and falling real wages means that having a job won’t necessarily allow you to make ends meet.
What’s worse, the austerity program is hitting low-income households disproportionately hardest.
We must, therefore, rethink the prevailing attitude towards taxes and social justice.

The progressive case for replacing the welfare state with basic income
Aside from the obvious moral and ethical arguments one could make, it has been proven over and over that reinvesting the wealth created by the citizenry back into society as dividends and public works, rather than allowing it to be siphoned off by a privileged class, is the best way for creating lasting prosperity.
